Tucked away on an airy deck off the main street of Bangalow, NSW, Our Corner Kitchen was once one of my preferred digital gypsy cafe work spaces, yet until today I had not ventured there for over a year.

To my horror, my vegan breakkie dish of choice has been replaced with avocado on toast, but trauma was soon avoided when the chef overheard my request for the 'old skool avo special' and my wish was her command: seeded avocado on sourdough with a slice of lemon. At $18 it is not the most sustainable breakfast option, but it gets my thumbs up every time.

Their sticky chai tea is one of my favourites in the region, and best served creamy on organic soy milk.
